Sazerac

An old-school favorite made new. Rye and brandy bring warmth and boldness, lifted by a fragrant absinthe rinse and bracing bitters.
1 oz Nelson Brothers Rye
1 oz brandy
0.25 oz demerara syrup (2:1)
1 dash aromatic bitters
5 dashes Creole-style bitters
Rinse a chilled rocks glass with absinthe and discard excess. Stir remaining ingredients with ice and strain into the glass. Garnish with an expressed lemon peel and insert.
