Sage Advice

1.5 oz Belle Meade Bourbon
.50 oz Dry Orange Curacao
1 Bar Spoon of Demerara Syrup
2 Dashes Aromatic Bitters
5 Sage Leaves

Lightly muddle the Sage in a julep cup. Add the rest of the ingredients followed by crushed ice. Swizzle, then top with more crushed ice to make a “snow cone”. Garnish with a bouquet of Sage.

Glassware: Julep Cup
Ice: Crushed
Garnish: Sage Sprigs

Taking the classic Mint Julep in a savory direction, this combination of sage, orange, and Belle Meade Bourbon is meant to be enjoyed on a hot summer’s day. Juleps have long been a symbol of Southern Summer decadence and whether it's Derby season or not they make the perfect potent potable to enjoy on the lawn, patio, or pavilion, regardless of your latitude. Swizzle up a Sage Advice by the poolside or invite some friends over for an alternative to the traditional Derby cocktail.
