2oz Belle Meade
.5oz Dry Vermouth
.5 oz Sweet Vermouth

.25oz Dry Curaçao
2 Dashes of aromatic bitters

Stir - Strain serve up into a coup glass

This is a variation on a Martinez, a classic stirred cocktail, typically made with Old Tom Gin. Here we substitute bourbon and add Orange Curacao to compensate for the missing herbs and spices. The recipe is named after the hybrid steam/sail ship that brought the Nelson’s over from Germany in 1850, The Helena Sloman.
