Nelson's Green Brier Tennessee Whiskey Wins Gold at the Denver International Spirits Competition
In the world of competitive whiskey, we’re still kind of the new kids (even though we’re using our great, great, great grandad’s original recipe), but we recently tossed our hat in the ring at the 2021 Denver International Spirits Competition. Against a whole host of great whiskeys from all over, we’re proud to say we brought home a gold medal for our Nelson’s Green Brier Tennessee Whiskey! The competition was generous enough to pass along the judges’ notes and scores, and we’re happy to share a few of our favorites below:
Smell:
Rich caramel, spice, and sweetness
Charcoal, oak and grain
Tasting Notes:
Charcoal! Sweet, Integrated, and Robust.
Finish:
A long finish, chewy, delicious
Of course we love our whiskey, but it sure is nice to hear that the experts enjoy it too!
