Six Geese A Laying

This delicious Nelson’s Nog is part of our 12 Days of Christmas Cocktails Series at the Nelson’s Green Brier Distillery Cocktail Bar. Visit the Distillery Cocktail Bar Thursday-Sunday through December 23 to see which of the 12 special cocktails are available.

2 oz Nelson Bros. Classic Bourbon
1 oz vanilla spiced simple syrup (recipe below)
2 dashes plum bitters
1 dash chocolate bitters
1 whole egg

Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker. “Dry shake” with no ice to mix the ingredients, then add ice and shake hard until chilled. Strain into a cocktail glass and garnish with grated nutmeg.

Vanilla Spiced Simple Syrup
2 cups demerara sugar
2 cups water
.25 oz vanilla extract
Barspoon of ground cinnamon
Dash of ground nutmeg
