Lightly muddle the Sage in a julep cup. Add the rest of the ingredients followed by crushed ice. Swizzle, then top with more crushed ice to make a “snow cone”. Garnish with a bouquet of Sage.

Garnish: Sage Sprigs

Juleps have long been a symbol of Southern Summer decadence and whether it's Derby season or not they make the perfect potent potable to enjoy on the lawn, patio, or pavilion, regardless of your latitude. This spin on the classic Mint Julep brings the savory deliciousness of Sage to replace the mint and adds orange to pair perfectly with the herb and Bourbon. Try it the next time you're entertaining outside or just feel like living the life of Riley.  // Creator: Ed Kolb
