Sugar, Spice & Whiskey On Ice
Creator: Drue McKelvey
6 ounces chai tea latte (premade and chilled)
1.5 ounces Nelson’s Green Brier Tennessee Whiskey
1 tsp maple syrup
1 Tbs light brown sugar (divided)
1 Tbs raw honey
¼ tsp ground cinnamon
Dash of ground nutmeg
Whipped cream and a cinnamon stick for garnish
Combine whiskey, maple syrup, chai tea latte and half the sugar in a cocktail shaker. Add ice shake for 20 seconds.
In a shallow dish mix remaining sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg together until combined. In another dish place a tablespoon of raw honey. Dip a glass into the raw honey, then sugar the rim.
Place a couple of ice cubes in a glass and pour drink over top. Garnish with whipped cream and cinnamon stick. Enjoy!
For the chai tea latte, heat 8 ounces of vanilla soy milk on medium-low until it is hot to the touch. Remove from heat, add in the tea and let steep for 5-10 minutes, or until desired flavor is reached. Fine strain the tea and chill.
*Could also be served as a hot drink by skipping the ice and chilling methods.
